Project: Bespoke Furniture Build – Woodford Green Workshop
For this project in Woodford Green, we fabricated a custom drawer unit in the workshop, designed to slot neatly into a wardrobe and maximise everyday storage. The brief was simple: strong, practical drawers, clean lines, and a tidy finish that works perfectly for clothing and accessories.
The brief
- Build a made-to-measure drawer stack to fit inside an existing wardrobe
- Provide multiple deep drawers for high-capacity storage
- Keep the design minimal and handleless (finger-pull cut-outs)
- Ensure smooth operation and a sturdy carcass built for daily use
What we did
- Cut and assembled the carcass and drawers from MDF, keeping everything square and true.
- Created integrated finger-pull openings for a clean, modern front with no external handles.
- Built the unit in the workshop for accuracy, then test-fitted and adjusted for a perfect fit.
- Installed the completed drawer stack into the wardrobe, positioned below the hanging rail to create a smart mixed storage layout (hanging + drawers).
Result
A solid, space-efficient drawer unit that transforms wardrobe storage—more organisation, easy access, and a clean built-in look, all made and prepared in the workshop.
