Project: Bespoke Wine Cabinet Build & Installation – Woodford Green
For this project in Woodford Green, we built and installed a made-to-measure wine cabinet to transform an unused alcove into a practical, fitted storage feature. The aim was a clean, built-in look with concealed cupboard space, a recessed top section ready for wine/display details, and extra side shelving for glasses and accessories.
The brief
The client wanted a cabinet that:
- Fits neatly into a tight recess with a built-in finish
- Provides closed storage behind doors to keep the area tidy
- Includes additional open shelving to one side
- Is prepared and ready for final finishing/painting
What we did
- Prepared the area and installed a solid base frame to ensure everything was level and secure.
- Built a custom cabinet carcass to suit the exact alcove dimensions.
- Added internal shelving for practical storage and easy organisation.
- Installed decorative fluted-style doors with tidy alignment and clean gaps, finished with brass knobs for a premium touch.
- Formed a recessed top section (ready for a wine display/rack insert or finishing trim depending on the final spec).
- Completed the installation with neat edging and a clean fit to surrounding walls and flooring.
Result
A smart, space-saving fitted cabinet that upgrades the alcove into a dedicated wine/storage zone—tidy from the outside, practical on the inside, and ready for final decoration to match the room.
