Project: New Side Gate Installation & Painting – Chingford
For this project in Chingford, we replaced an old side access gate with a new timber gate and frame, then finished it with a fresh exterior paint for long-lasting protection and a clean, modern look. The goal was to improve security, privacy, and day-to-day access down the side passage.
The brief
The client wanted:
- A solid, secure replacement side gate
- A neat fit within the narrow brick-and-fence opening
- Strong, reliable hardware for everyday use
- A weatherproof painted finish to match the exterior
What we did
- Built and installed a new timber ledged & braced gate for strength and stability.
- Fitted a new frame to square everything up and ensure a smooth close.
- Installed heavy-duty strap hinges and latch/handle hardware for secure operation.
- Prepared the timber and applied a black exterior paint finish, giving the gate a smart, uniform look and added weather protection.
Result
A clean, secure side entrance with a strong new gate that looks great and works smoothly—perfectly fitted, properly hung, and fully painted for durability.
