Project Overview
This staircase renovation project involved a complete structural and aesthetic upgrade of an outdated stair system. The original staircase featured worn carpet, dated balustrades, and an old handrail that no longer met modern design standards.

📐 Stage 2 – Structural Improvements
New timber components were measured, cut, and fitted with precision. Using laser alignment tools, we ensured:
-
Perfect handrail height compliance
-
Accurate baluster spacing
-
Solid fixing into structural points
-
Seamless transitions at the landing
The newel posts were reinforced and reshaped where necessary to create clean, strong joints.

🪵 Stage 3 – Handrail & Balustrade Installation
A new solid timber handrail was installed, providing:
-
Improved safety and stability

A modern, clean-lined finish
-
Enhanced durability
A wall-mounted support rail was also added for additional safety along the staircase rise.
Final Result
The staircase has been transformed from a worn, carpeted structure into a clean, structurally sound, and modern timber staircase ready for final finishing (painting or staining as required).
✔️ Improved safety
✔️ Stronger structural integrity
✔️ Clean architectural lines
✔️ Ready for decorating
