Project: Bespoke Radiator Covers – Clayhall
For this job in Clayhall, we built and fitted a made-to-measure radiator cover to smarten up the space and give a clean, modern finish — while still allowing excellent heat flow.
The brief
The client wanted a radiator cover that:
- Looks neat and consistent with the room
- Allows good airflow so the radiator still performs properly
- Includes a top shelf ledge for a tidy finishing line
- Sits securely and cleanly against the wall and carpet line
- Is ready for final prep and painting
What we did
- Took accurate site measurements to ensure a tight, flush fit.
- Fabricated the cover from MDF, including:
- A slatted front grille for ventilation
- A strong outer frame with clean square lines
- A solid top shelf with a neat overhang
- Assembled, sanded, and prepared the surfaces, including filling and detailing to get it ready for decorating.
- Installed the cover neatly in position, keeping it level, aligned, and practical for day-to-day use.
Result
A clean, built-in look that hides the radiator, improves the overall appearance of the room, and still allows heat to circulate properly through the front slats and open design.
