Project: Bespoke Radiator Covers – Clayhall

For this job in Clayhall, we built and fitted a made-to-measure radiator cover to smarten up the space and give a clean, modern finish — while still allowing excellent heat flow.

The brief

The client wanted a radiator cover that:

• Looks neat and consistent with the room
• Allows good airflow so the radiator still performs properly
• Includes a top shelf ledge for a tidy finishing line
• Sits securely and cleanly against the wall and carpet line
• Is ready for final prep and painting

What we did

• Took accurate site measurements to ensure a tight, flush fit.
• Fabricated the cover from MDF, including:
  • A slatted front grille for ventilation
  • A strong outer frame with clean square lines
  • A solid top shelf with a neat overhang
• Assembled, sanded, and prepared the surfaces, including filling and detailing to get it ready for decorating.
• Installed the cover neatly in position, keeping it level, aligned, and practical for day-to-day use.

Result

A clean, built-in look that hides the radiator, improves the overall appearance of the room, and still allows heat to circulate properly through the front slats and open design.
