Project: Bespoke Loft Wardrobe & Bookshelf Build – Walthamstow
For this loft project in Walthamstow, we designed and installed a made-to-measure storage solution that works with the sloping roofline. The build combines under-eaves shelving with a run of full-height wardrobes and drawers, creating maximum storage while keeping the room clean and streamlined.
The brief
The client wanted:
- Practical storage that fits the loft angles and awkward spaces
- A combination of hanging space, drawers, and shelving
- A neat, built-in look with uniform doors and modern handles
- A layout that keeps everything accessible without wasting space
What we did
- Built a custom timber/MDF framework to suit the loft’s sloping ceiling and straight wall sections.
- Installed under-eaves book shelving to make use of the low-height area—ideal for books, baskets, and display.
- Fitted full-height wardrobes on the main wall with:
- Hanging rails for coats and clothing
- Integrated drawer stacks for folded items and accessories
- Finished with shaker-style doors and black handles, aligned for clean gaps and smooth operation.
Result
A smart loft fit-out that turns unused areas into high-capacity storage—book shelves under the eaves, wardrobes for hanging, and drawers for organisation, all with a tidy built-in finish.
