Project: Bespoke Fitted Wardrobe Build – Dalston

For this project in Dalston, we built a made-to-measure fitted wardrobe to maximise storage across a full wall recess. The aim was to create a clean, built-in look with a practical internal layout: hanging space, multiple drawers, and a central open section for flexible use.

The brief

The client wanted:

• A full-width fitted wardrobe that sits neatly wall-to-wall
• Plenty of drawer storage for folded clothes and accessories
• Dedicated hanging rails for everyday items
• A central open bay with shelving for display/organisation
• A modern, tidy finish ready for final decorating

What we did

• Built a solid timber framework within the recess to ensure everything was straight, secure, and perfectly aligned.
• Installed the wardrobe carcasses and partitions, creating three main sections for balanced storage.
• Added hanging rails to the left and right bays, plus upper shelf space.
• Built and fitted multiple drawers across the base for high-capacity storage, with neat handleless finger-pull cut-outs for a clean look.
• Formed a central open niche with shelving above and drawer storage below—ideal for baskets, folded items, or a feature section.
• Completed the build ready for final finishing (filling, sanding, painting/finishing as required).

Result

A smart, space-efficient fitted wardrobe that transforms the room—more storage, better organisation, and a clean built-in finish that looks like it was always part of the space.
